Inequality Signs
< = less than
≤ = less than or equal to
> = greater than
≥ = greater than or equal to
So ‘wall thickness ≥ 35 mm’ means that the wall must be 35 mm thick or greater, while ‘mass < 5 g’ means that the mass must be less than 5 g.
Sometimes the notation 3 ≤ x ≤ 5 is used - in this case, to denote that x must have a value in the range 3 to 5 inclusive.
